About Our RectorThe Rev. Philip Hubbard began his ministry with the people of St. Mary’s on August 1, 2014. He served previously as the Vicar of St. Clare’s Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Kansas. If you ask Father Philip what he likes most about St. Mary’s, he will immediately respond, “The people – they are warm, friendly, faithful and real. They don’t pretend that they are perfect, and they don’t expect you to be. St. Mary’s is a 'come as you are' faith community.”
Father Philip has a passion for sharing the Good News so that everyone can experience the joy of relationship with Jesus Christ that brings meaning to our lives. He has an M.Div. from Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California, an M.A. in Christian Education from Princeton Theological Seminary, and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut. The Hubbard family includes Father Philip, his wife, Sonya, their son, Ian, and Toby, the family’s sweet-but-mischievous 5-year-old Mountain Cur dog. |
